15) Nairobi – Kenya
Life in the streets of Nairobi is interesting, diverse and fun. The inconsistency is so normal that soon you stop noticing it. The caste system is almost tangible, not only between people but neighborhoods as well. It’s amazing to observe the fashion, which is often very grand. The poorest beggars sit on the streets wearing suits and everyone around wore better clothes than me. Even with a lack of materialistic wealth, humans are proud beings. White shirts are nothing but a hassle in the dry and dusty air, but I have never seen shirts as white as the people wore there. It was fun to sit down and observe, or photograph, when an old lady in a blazer and her finest skirt came walking down the trail, a trail that was just a dirt road next to an avenue.
