23) Brisbane – Australia
With good weather all day, every day, the number of street performers increases. On our travels we met many of the sort, some fun and some not. This old man on a pedestrian street in Brisbane was one the more intriguing ones. The most technical of street artists I’ve ever seen, with a suitcase full of cords, things, stuff and home-made instruments. When I took his photograph, he reciprocated, armed with his weird photographic device. To me he was some sort of link between an old and young generation, a young soul trapped in an older body and probably the techiest ‘granddad’ I’ve ever met. Now he has made it up to a wall in Iceland and I wonder whether there is a maybe a clip of me in a documentary he is showing in a showroom on the other side of the world.
